Agriculture gets its day at COP28, but experts see big barriers to cutting emissions More than 100 world leaders at this year’s United Nations climate summit agreed to make their farm and food systems a key part of their plans to fight climate change, seeking improvements in a sector that accounts for about a third of planet-warming emissions.With livestock accounting for over half of those emissions, meat and dairy are at the forefront of many agriculture conversations at COP28 in Dubai. The U.N. 3 people killed and 1 wounded in shooting at Atlanta apartment building, police say ATLANTA (AP) — A shooting in Atlanta killed three people and left one victim wounded Saturday evening, police say.The Atlanta Police Department said officers responded to an address on Peachtree Road NE in the city’s Buckhead district around 6:25 p.m., WANF-TV reported.Police said three victims in their 20s were pronounced dead at the scene and the fourth was transported to a hospital, WANF reported.Police said the shooting was linked to drug activity at 3005 Buckhead Apartments, the station reported.“This wasn’t like a home invasion type of scenario. We believe that the perpetrators were invited in for that drug exchange. It was some type of drug transaction that was taking place inside the apartment,” Maj. Search underway for man who robbed bank in Waukegan WAUKEGAN, Ill. — The FBI says a search is underway for a man who robbed a bank in Waukegan on Saturday afternoon.According to the FBI, the robbery happened at a Bank of America in the 900 block of South Waukegan Road. Waukegan Fifth Third Bank robbed hours before Thanksgiving Agents say a man entered the bank just before 1:40 p.m. and displayed a note demanding money and implying that he had a handgun. The man then fled the scene on foot. Authorities say the man responsible, who is believed to be around 35 years old, has brown hair, a beard, and is believed to stand between 5-foot-10 and 5-foot-11.
